Pardue Farms and Sons

Pardue Farms was established in 1928 by Major Pardue, father of the current owner and operator Andy Pardue. Major moved from Surry County to Ronda NC located in Wilkes County. He and his bothers Branson and Millard began buying local farms as they became available. The land purchased still makes up the 1200 acres of farmland in the current farming operation. When the farm began, its main focus was dairy cattle, tobacco and row crops. Tobacco was produced from 1928 until 1998; the farm then became more focused on the stocker and row crop operation.

Andy Pardue holds a degree in crop science from NC State and manages crop production on the farm. Andy's son Cameron holds degrees in Agriculture Business and Animal Science from Surry Community College. Cameron handles the livestock and business aspects of Pardue Farms. Pardue Farms has always been 100% family owned and operated. At the present time Andy and Cameron along with Cameron's younger brothers Brandon and Nathan are continuing their family heritage of farming.

Pardue Farms backgrounds approximately 1600 head of cattle annually. The Pardue families main focus is on the cattle operation. The farm produces 400+ acres of row crops including silage and corn for grain and soybeans. Approximately 100 acres of land is used for hay production. The Pardue Family also operates a private hunting preserve for deer and upland bird hunting.

Pardue Farms and Sons strive to "Have the reputation of producing quality, healthy cattle and to constantly try to make each load of cattle that leaves Pardue Farms better than the last. To achieve these goals, all cattle are preconditioned, vaccinated according to BQA guidelines and fed to meet nutritional requirements"
