Mead Cattle Enterprises

Mead Cattle Enterprises is owned and operated by Tommy Mead. Tommy has been breeding Herefords for over 30 years. Tommy grew up on his family farm which is located in Midville, Georgia just south of Augusta, Georgia. Tommy's passion for Hereford cattle started as a boy with a man's vision and has been growing since he was showing Herefords with 4-H and FFA. He always says The Mead Program started as a 4-H project.

Currently, Mead cattle are being cared for by Tommy and his wife Robin. Keeping the show cattle on the road is his daughter, Tommie Lynne. With over 350 brood cows that exceed industry demands, consistently proving their worth in maternal traits, growth and eye appeal, while excelling in carcass merit - a rare combination. The bull battery is proof of their dedication to breeding growthy, sound, stout Herefords that not only thrive in the Southeastern climate, but will flourish anywhere. The bulls have been used and appreciated by commercial and purebred cattlemen alike. Mead-sired herd bulls and donor cows are proving their merit in some of the Hereford industry's top herds.
